The Kiwi is a native New Zealand bird. There are five kinds of kiwi. There are brown kiwi, tokoeka, little spotted kiwi, rowa and roroa.
They look small and are brown. They have chicken legs. The Kiwi is the only bird with nostrils at the end of their bill. They have a long bill.
A Kiwi egg is very large and when the female Kiwi lays the egg the male takes over to keep the egg warm.
Kiwi only come out at night because they are nocturnal.
Kiwis eat insects, berries and bugs. Once the baby kiwi hatches the mother goes to get food for the baby Kiwi.
I think that if you go for a walk in the wild forests with a dog keep it on a lead because it may kill a kiwi. If it’s trained to not kill kiwi still keep it on a lead because lots of kiwis get killed every week.
