The Kiwi is a native NZ bird. There are 5 kinds.  Brown kiwi, Tokoeka, Little spotted kiwi, Rowi and Roroa.

Kiwi are a small bird the size of a domestic chicken. They have webbed feet and they are the only bird that has nostrils. They have a shaggy body and have a long bill. The female lays the egg. The male sits on egg to keep it warm. It can take 70 to 80 days to hatch.

Kiwi live in 3 places: the bush, the forest and in burrows.

Kiwi eat bugs, worms and arachnids and small lizards.

I feel happy for the Kiwi because they are a great bird.
