The Piwakawaka is a native endemic bird of NZ. The Piwakawaka has a fan as a tail to help it glide and balance. They are a very small bird. In fact they are one of the smallest NZ birds. They can lay about three-four eggs. Their eggs are spotted brown and grey. Fantails like to live in native forest, trees, gardens, orchards and scrub plantation forest. Piwakawaka eat flies, insects, wasps, moths and beetles.

I think Piwakawaka are cool.
