The kiwi is a Native NZ bird. There are 5 kinds of kiwi in NZ.

Kiwi are a smallish bird which are about the size of a domestic chicken. They have a very long bill, tiny wings, and they can’t fly. They have very shaggy feathers and no tail and strong legs.

Kiwi  lay big eggs and it takes seventy-eighty days for the egg to incubate.

They may live in Forest, Bush, Hollow trees, Burrows and Mangroves.

We should save our kiwi from extinction.
